For this journal, you will be using your information literacy skills. This journal will allow you to practice these skills before using them for the final paper. You need to find an academic journal article that presents research related to Face Negotiation Theory (this means no dissertations, conference papers, newspaper articles, websites, books, or book chapters). The research study that you find may test, illustrate or apply Face Negotiation Theory. Your research article needs to be published between 2010 – 2022. Points will be deducted if you summarize an article that was published before 2010. Your journal needs to be at least 300 words. Do not attach a document. We will not grade any journals that contain attachments. Write your journal in the text box or paste it into the text box. Your journal is due Thursday, October 27th by 11:59 pm. Late journal assignments will not be accepted. Your journal needs to contain the following two parts:
A. First, summarize your research article. Your summary should include a discussion of the methods used in the research and the overall results of the study. In addition, you need to discuss how Face Negotiation Theory relates to the research study. After reading your summary, the reader should have a clear understanding of the research including the following: the research questions or hypotheses, the methods used in the research, the findings of the research, and the connection to Face Negotiation Theory. You need to properly cite your summary using APA citations. This includes using in-text citations when paraphrasing or using direct quotations. However, I strongly encourage you to not use direct quotations. You should focus on paraphrasing the information instead.
B. Second, you need to include a reference section at the end of your journal using proper APA citations. Your reference section does not count towards your word count.
